What is ALAF?
Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme is launching this education-community funding initiative in the form of a financial support and assistance termed as Advocating Life-Long Learning For An Aspiring Future – ALAF Programme.
Towards realizing our country’s aspiration to have well-educated and highly-skilled human resources, BIBD hopes to provide opportunities of educational progression to underprivileged students through its BIBD ALAF Programme. The objective of ALAF is to cater for and assist with the funding of the educational needs of underprivileged students in the country, until they graduate.
As an extension to BIBD’s contribution towards “Early Childhood Education”, BIBD believes on the importance of education and learning as the underlying core of every individual and national development, hence will provide an even more substantial impact on nation building through education.
Aspires to contribute in achieving Zero Poverty and Zero Illiteracy in Brunei Darussalam, in line with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam Vision 2035, to invest in Human Capital and Resources by providing Bruneian youths with proper education and to nurture future leaders.
Envisioned to generate excellence in education for the underprivileged communities through a systematic sponsorship scheme.
Objectives of ALAF
BIBD as a catalyst to enable the public to participate in action building with the children.
Build public awareness and inclusion to rally the elevation of educational level amongst the communities.
Focused on building a better quality individuals through a better educational support system.
Focused on educational advancement for the children.
Being able to build a database and the tangible ‘ROI’ and the success of the program.

The general public can give a minimum contribution of B$1.01 through BIBD Online, BIBD Mobile, Standing Instruction, Cash Deposit Machines, Hadiah Points and Branch Counters into the ALAF account 1018181811.
